Although, these three options can all be used to ask someone’s age, they are only used in accordance with the person’s age group. “你几岁了？(Nǐ jǐ suì le?)” is used to ask kids, and “你多大了？(Nǐ duō dà le?)” is for teens and young people. As for the elders, you have to say “您多大年纪了？(Nín duō dà niánjì le?)” as a sign of respect.
